SAGE (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship) is an international network that links high school students with opportunities to make the world a better place by creating and implementing innovative projects. The primary goal of SAGE is to advance youth entrepreneurship and making a difference in the world.
SAGE Canada is a program managed by SIFE Ryerson. SIFE Ryerson provides opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience and generate personal and professional success. We contribute our time and knowledge to collaborate on innovative projects that improve the lives of people in the community. Participating students gain valuable real world experience that sets them apart as top recruits when they enter the work force.
Starting up in 2008, by Andrea Belvedere (former president of SIFE Ryerson) and Wendy Cukier, SAGE has seen amazing growth and success. The purpose of starting this program was to provide the same SIFE experience to high school students and help them grow personally and professionally.
SAGE Canada’s mission is to provide students with the opportunity to gain entrepreneurial experience through hands on learning, educational workshops, competition, and a network of students and industry leaders.
From 2010-2011 SAGE was found in 7 different schools. There was over 160 students participating, who put into 2414 hours of community service! This was done through 36 different projects, generating over $34,000 of economic activity and impacting over 14,000 individuals. We are so proud of what SAGE students have done, and we look to increase our impact year after year. Join the movement in better ourselves and the world we live in!
