GET YOUR IDEA OUT INTO THE WORLD

Our program will teach you all the different elements involved in becoming a successful entrepreneur. We provide our students with in-depth experience in business development. At SAGE we pride ourselves in promoting equal opportunity, keeping our program free and accessible for all high school students.

We have a team of mentors who are dedicated to your success. At the end of our program you get an opportunity to compete in a global competition. This experience not only leaves you with a fuller of understanding of the world of entrepreneurship, but with a network you can take with you anywhere.

Program Timeline

Entrepreneurship Conference

Late September

To kick off the year, SAGE hosts a two day entrepreneurship conference. The event is designed to help youth ideate, form teams, and networking with mentors and community over two days.

SAGE Ryerson Applications

Mid October

Through our chapter partners, we will provide post-secondary student mentors to help accelerate the growth of youth ventures by connecting them to university resources. However, one must apply through bit.ly/SAGERyerson

Virtual Pitch Competition

Late January

In preparation for the 2018 National Competition, ventures will submit an application into our virtual pitch competition to select the top 12 teams to compete in May in front of a panel of industry leaders.

Interviews

Early March

Upon reviewal, selected ventures will be interviewed by a panel of SAGE Canada and chapter representatives as well as industry professionals based on innovativeness, scalability, and feasibility.

National Preparation Conference

Mid April

The selected 12 teams will have an opportunity to perfect their pitch, presentation styles, and scripts with pitch coaching and SAGE members. The purpose of this conference is to prepare them for a panel that will not only judge their presentation but also pose very challenging questions.

TheSTAGE – National Competition

Mid May

Selected ventures will compete to showcase their stories in their respective categories (Social Enterprise & Socially Responsible). This event determines the National Champions who will represent Canada in the SAGE Global Competition in August.
